Pamporovo is a bright, modern ski resort nestled high in the Rhodope Mountains in Southern Bulgaria. Set amongst magnificent pine forests, Pamporovo offers an excellent base for a skiing holiday with a choice of great hotels and conveniently located nightlife on your doorstep. The resort is particularly suited to both beginners and intermediates, although it’s Giant Slalom ‘The Wall’ ensures that any experienced skier will be more than happy. The internationally renowned ski school at Pamporovo provides the best possible start for beginners. There is tuition for 4 hrs a day, 6 days a week, with ski fitting and class arranging etc. The school meets in the Malina region, just a few minutes from the centre of the resort. There are several drag lifts on the nursery slopes, and beginners will find plenty of easy, scenic runs and a great choice of nursery slopes.


The 37 kms of marked piste are ideal for intermediate skiers with limited experience. They will find Pamporovo the perfect place to gain practice and learn techniques on the excellent red runs.


Advanced skiers can jump on the drag lift from the middle station which runs up the side of “The Wall”. This Pamporovo’s most difficult ski run in the resort.


Pamporovo offers great conditions for snowboarding. In the resort the unique 105m half pipe which hosts many competitions. The Fun Park which is located near skiing facilities has fun and challenging jumps for all ages.


Those who prefer the Nordic sports will find a total of 34 km of trails for cross-country skiing all around Pamporovo. These diverse tracks wind through an impressive landscape.


Being one of the most popular mountain resorts in Bulgaria, Pamporovo has a lot to offer skiers with plenty of lively nightspots and bars. For those wanting to sample a bit of true Bulgarian life why not visit one of its many local folk restaurants and try the local specialities along with some popular Bulgarian wine and traditional entertainment. There is also a wide range of restaurants offering European dishes in the resort. From disco clubs, classical and lobby bars, pubs and clubs, bowling halls, billiards to piano bars, there is great range of activities to enjoy once the skiing day is over
